Iowa Poultry Medicine Training Seminar

Wednesday, February 26, 2025 (9:00 AM - 3:00 PM) (CST)

Description

North Central Poultry Association and Iowa Turkey Federation are pleased to host the Iowa Poultry Medicine Training Seminar. Backyard flocks are often an underserved population, but continue to grow in popularity. Flock owners rely on community knowledge and may have trouble finding veterinary expertise in their area. Through this program we hope to provide poultry medicine training to mixed practice veterinarians so that our backyard flocks and exhibition birds can have more resources across the state.

Registration will be reserved for veterinarians who do not work for or serve commercial poultry companies, but may encounter clients with backyard flocks or exhibition birds.

Topics will include foreign animal disease response, interstate movement procedures, exhibiiotn testing requirements, and identification and reporting of suspected respiratory illnesses.
